Melasma is a common pigmentation disorder that can be stubborn to treat. We have access to clinical skin treatments to help make improvements, but the new at-home ALLSKIN | MED Pigmentation Control Plan has been designed to enhance those results. Significantly improving your outcomes and your client’s satisfaction.

The plan is clinically proven to increase the efficacy of clinical melasma treatment by 51% compared to treatment alone2, and has been shown to reduce the MASI (Melasma Area and Severity Index) by 74%4. All by adding a straightforward three-product regime at home.

Read on to find out more about the ALLSKIN | MED Pigmentation Control Plan and one client’s journey as she starts to use the products after being recommended them at KP Aesthetics.

What is melasma?

Melasma is a skin condition that’s a type of hyperpigmentation. It is characterised by darker patches of skin that usually appear on the face, and are often symmetrical. Common areas for melasma to appear include the forehead, cheeks, chin and upper lip. Melasma is more common in women, and even more common in women with darker skin types.

The darker patches of skin are caused by an over stimulation of melanin, which is the pigment that is responsible for our skin colour. There are several known causes for this overstimulation that results in melasma, including:

  • Hormonal changes
  • Hormone-based medications
  • Sun exposure
  • Genetics

You can read more about post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), another common pigmentary disorder here.

Debrah’s journey and results

While melasma doesn’t cause any harm, for many it can lead to a lack of confidence and have a big impact on day-to-day life.

Debrah has had melasma for around 20 years, during which she never left the house without makeup. She visited KP Aesthetics, a leading bespoke aesthetics clinic in Manchester to help find out more about her skin and what improvements could be made.

KP Aesthetics is led by Khatra, a fully qualified nurse prescriber with years of clinical experience. Khatra has the skills, experience and creates the right environment to help people make positive changes to their skin.

In finding the courage to speak with Khatra, Debrah now understands her skin condition and has a plan in place to address it. In her words, “If we can control it then my life will be 100% better than it is today”.

Khatra’s first step for melasma treatment is to introduce the ALLSKIN | MED Pigment Control Plan which contains three products:

  • Dietary supplement: ALLSKIN | MED Pigmentation Oral Capsules
  • Daily active serum: ALLSKIN | MED Pigment Control Serum
  • Daily sun protection: Heliocare 360° Pigment Solution Fluid

This replaced her daily routine of 22 skincare products that she used morning and night in a desperate attempt to improve her skin and hide the pigmentation. After just two days Debrah saw the benefits of stripping back her regime and using her new products that ‘go on like a dream’.

Twelve days after beginning the ALLSKIN | MED Pigment Control Plan Debrah returned to the clinic to review progress. While improvements to melasma take time, digital skin analysis shows some of the deeper pigmentation already starting to break down. The inflammation has also been reduced within the skin and the barrier is starting to improve. This is all from using the ALLSKIN | MED Pigment Control plan alone.

Debrah already feels that her skin is brighter and smoother, and of course her morning and evening regimes are now much quicker! We’ll be keeping up to date with Debrah’s progress, but read on to find out the kind of results that she can expect.

ALLSKIN | MED Pigment Control Plan: clinically proven results

The three products in the Pigment Control Plan work together to significantly improve hyperpigmentation and enhance clinical treatments for melasma and hyperpigmentation.1,2,3

ALLSKIN | MED Pigment Capsules

The ALLSKIN | MED Pigment Capsules are a daily supplement that can significantly increase the efficacy of clinical melasma treatment by 51% compared to treatment alone.2

The capsules are packed with Fernblock+, a powerful clinically-proven anti-oxidant with photoprotective and anti-ageing properties; anti-oxidants vitamin C and pomegranate extract, which encourage hydration, exfoliation and luminosity; and niacinamide and cystine, which are depigmenting agents.

ALLSKIN | MED Pigment Control Serum

Proven to reduce the MASI (Melasma Area and Severity Index) by 74%, with excellent tolerability.4

The Pigment Control Serum is a multi-action product that helps to lighten existing pigmentation while preventing the appearance of new dark patches. It features a depigmenting system with tyrosinase inhibitors Kojic Acid, Niacinamide and N-Acetylglucosamine which will control melanin production and lighten existing pigmentation. Patented retinol technology and salicylic acid work to increase skin cell renewal, whilst aiding the penetration of the depigmenting system.
